Flood Relief Report
(Muzafargarh)
Society for Community Restoration (SCR) is fully involved in flood relief activities and stand with the nation to help flood victims in this hour of trouble. On 20th August 2010 SCR team went on her first phase of relief work at Muzafargarh and distributed food, clothes, water, milk etc. among more than 300 families.

Stuffed toys were distributed among children to restore their happiness, and they were really very happy to get the toys. Clothes (Men, Women and Children), bed sheets etc were also distributed among the victims.
A medical camp for the first aid treatment was also placed for flood victims. More than 200 patients of skin infection, Diaria and Gystro diesis, were attended and medicine given to them.
As per local resources it was informed that 500 families living with river in the areas of Karam Shah, Birki, Maqsoodpur are being affected with the worst flooding. It was informed that people tried on self help basis to make a Band (Bank) to escape from flood but on 13th august, Band (Bank) broken down and the water washed away the villages and the crops and the lands become the part of River. About 55,500 acre crops are destroyed out of which 32,500 acre crop of Rice and 23,000 acre crop of Cotton crop is destroyed by the worst flooding in these areas.
Now people are living in a very tragic condition, they are suffering with different infections, shortage of food, and crying for help. There is great need of help to them please join hands with SCR and save the humanity.
